Their are Two types of Motor Skill.

Gross motor skills include standing, walking, going up and down stairs, running, swimming, and other activities that use the large muscles of the arms, legs, and torso. We develop these mostly during childhood through play and physical activity.

Fine motor skills, on the other hand, involve the muscles of the fingers, hands, and wrists, and, to a lesser extent, toes, feet, and ankles. Coordination of hand, eye, and brain makes gaining these skills a little more complex than, for example, learning to crawl. Development of these skills is more ongoing, often throughout our whole lives.

Child Safety

Keeping children safe involves education, supervision, and environment, with environment being the most crucial. A child caregiver cannot physically see every child at every second, so it's essential that caregivers identify and remove potential hazards. This creates an environment that allows children to move and play freely and safely, and allows the caregiver to spend more time in nurturing and caring for each child.

"One of the most challenging aspect of motor skill is providing demonstration, which is a best guide for students to optimal technique and performance. Most of us have struggled to provide the best skill demonstration for our students or athletes. We may have been afraid to show the wrong way to perform a motor skill. Perhaps the most aspect notion is that effective demonstration must involve highly skilled performers showing the ideal technique and outcome.

At the same time we should also understand that demonstration by expect may not always provide the best learning condition for our students or athletes. Strategies for your less skilled students for motor skill demonstration also can be effective. We usually rely on expert perform to demonstrate the appropriate technique and outcome of skill. Few will challenge the assumption that experts in a motor skill make good models for demonstrations."
